Caran d'Ache is continuing its pursuit of artistic excellence with Neoart™ 6901, the first ever wax and oil pastel to comply with the ASTM D-6901 standard, which guarantees exceptional lightfastness for up to 100 years. This innovation marks a new milestone in the Geneva-based company's Expert range, offering artists an innovative medium that combines chromatic intensity with unrivalled durability.
ASTM D-6901, the strictest international standard for lightfastness, is based on rigorous tests in the Arizona desert and under UV radiation in the laboratory. With Neoart™ 6901, Caran d'Ache becomes the first brand to offer a complete range of 100% lightfast pastels, made up of 48 shades, including 34 rated LFI (Lightfastness I) and 14 LFII.
The remarkable pigment richness of Neoart™ 6901 sets it apart: 75% of formulas are mono- or bi-pigmentary, guaranteeing unrivalled purity. These pastels, designed to create long-lasting, vibrant artworks, combine the softness of wax with the richness of oil. They have a unique, powder-free texture, and their satin finish is perfect for spontaneous creations.
The octagonal shape makes it exceptionally easy to grip, and its versatility - it can be used on paper, cardboard, canvas, glass or wood - makes Neoart™ 6901 ideal for professionals, art students and enthusiasts alike.
